We are IT Suppliers, developers and installers, specialising in servers running Linux and other non Microsoft software. Clients who buy our products are generally running workstations with Microsoft networks and using Microsoft Operating Systems (i.e. Windows in one form or other) and Microsoft Applications (e.g. Office). Our servers interface seamlessly to the workstations, and the user is generally not aware that he is getting his E-mail, etc from a non Microsoft server.
We aim to bring the advantages of open source software to the "ordinary" IT user, whose only choice until now has been Microsoft or similar.
Open source software is free, and generally runs well on computers of a lower specification than the equivalent Microsoft software. The initial capital cost of the hardware is therefore reduced, and its useful life is lengthened.
The basis of most open source software is the Linux operating system, which has now become a force to be reckoned with. Many large companies have recently discovered its advantages, and it has gained a reputation for speed and reliability. We aim to bring these advantages to medium and small companies.
