The server consists of the following hardware:
- 1000 MHz AMD CPU
- 256 Mb RAM
- 2 x 40 GB hard discs (these are used in Raid 1 configuration - for details - click here)
- CD ROM read and write (this can be used for data backup)
- 3.25” Floppy disc drive
- 2 x 10/100 Network interface controllers
These machines come with 1 year Return To Base warranty (all parts and labour). If you want a full ongoing onsite maintenance contract, then please contact us, we have agreements with local and national service companies who can provide this.
Additionally, either of the following can be added:
- Internal ISDN Controller (alternative for internet access)
- V92 External modem (for internet access).
We recommend an external analogue modem, as internal modems will often cause the server to hang if they malfunction.
Note that the server software does not require any user licenses, you can add and connect as many users as you need, at no extra cost.

The server does not come with a keyboard, mouse or screen, although all can be plugged in should the need arise (unlikely!).
