Linux Books
These are books that we have found which are useful in understanding the background to the various parts of Linux that are used in the SMEServer software. We recommend these books to anyone who wishes to get a deeper understanding of what is is all about.

They are all from the O’Reilly publisher (and no, we do not own shares in them!)

Invaluable if you want to “stretch” your use of the Windows network to cover the use of domains etc.

The scripting language that much of the customised SMEServer programs are written in.
|
|

MySQL is the database behind the SMEServer, and PHP is an alternative to Perl, but is also supported in the SMEServer, and is the language that many of the “extra” contributions are written in.
